The island, located in front of the Barra de la Barraca or Portitxol, became inhabited and maintains archaeological remains such as Phoenician ceramics, a marble pavement and a Roman column base. In addition, it is one of the places of greatest ecological and scenic interest that, together with Cap Prim and Cap Negre, make up the Bay of Portitxol. With this new name, the patrimonial and panoramic value of this enclave of great beauty is revealed.
