Countdown to Las Fallas 2018

In Valencia and in cities next to Javea as Denia are ready for their most important fiestas, Las Fallas. This festivity officially begin on March 15 with "La Plantà" and will end on March 19 with "La Cremà" but since a few days ago you can enjoy other Falla acts as "les mascletaes" very important in Valencia and that gather millions of visitors lovers of gunpowder.

Las Fallas are fiestas dedicated to Saint Joseph. Its origins in the Valencian Community in the mid-18th century, as a simple festivity included in the programme of events of the feast of Saint Joseph (19 March).

A few kilometres from Jávea, Costa Blanca, we can enjoy this fiesta in the city of Denia where we will be able to find eleven monuments. One of the most important events will be the offering of flowers to the Virgen de los Desamparados moment where the falleros and falleras wear their best clothes and go in procession to lay flowers to the Virgin's mantle.
